Dr Weichao Rachel Zhai is currently serving as the Event Lead of Biotech Connection Singapore, and had led the Start-up Series on Funding Schemes for Innovation Enterprises.  She graduated with a B.Sc. in Physics from Stanford University, and a D.Phil in Physics (Biological Soft Systems) from Cambridge University. After two years of research in the area of label-free on-line cell monitoring for cell therapy applications, she recently joined the A*STAR Biomedical Research Council to assist the efforts in establishing key bioinformatics research institutes as the anchor for digital healthcare in Singapore. In the long term, she is interested to see how digital health and precision medicine could integrate to revolutionize modern healthcare. Through BSC, she hopes to engage multiple stakeholders including investors, entrepreneurs, and researchers from the local biotech ecosystem, and to facilitate discussions to catalyze this transformation.

Biotech Connection Singapore (BCS) is part of an international network of non-profit organizations, that aims to promote the transfer of ideas from theory to real world applications by providing a platform for fostering interaction between academia, industry and businesses.
