Dr Natasha Ng served as President of Biotech Connection Singapore, from December 2019 to 2021, after serving almost two years as Consulting Lead in the organization. She graduated with a BSc in Biology at Imperial College London, and a DPhil in Medical Sciences at the University of Oxford in 2016, having worked extensively on investigating the genetic and functional mechanisms in diabetes. She is a currently Senior Research Fellow in IMCB, A*STAR working on stem cells and diabetes, driving both academic and translational projects. Her work seeks to understand the mechanisms underlying the development of diabetes and metabolic conditions, to uncover new therapeutic pathways for tackling the disease. Since 2014 she has also been a co-founder of a UK-based, early-stage medical device start up, BioMe Oxford, where she gained first-hand experience in biotech entrepreneurship. Through BCS she hopes to bring the leadership team to greater heights and contribute to fostering an entrepreneurial spirit in the community. Outside of work, Natasha is passionate about graphic design, gardening and hiking.

Biotech Connection Singapore (BCS) is part of an international network of non-profit organizations, that aims to promote the transfer of ideas from theory to real world applications by providing a platform for fostering interaction between academia, industry and businesses.
