Dipti Thakkar graduated from the University of Central Lancashire with a BSc in Biomedical Sciences and PhD in Molecular Oncology. She was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at University of Oxford, National center for Biological Sciences (India) and National Neuroscience Institute (Singapore). In her most recent role as of Head of Discovery at an early stage biotech start-up, Hummingbird Bioscience, she is part of the pioneering team developing a pipeline of promising drugs against negative immune checkpoint targets and growth receptors. Her experience spans bench research to go-to-market strategies, with a keen focus on translational research, advancing discovery of new therapeutic targets from pre-clinical proof of concept and beyond. Through BCS, she hopes to help in building a thriving biotech ecosystem in Singapore.
