Alexandra ALVAREZ

Alexandra graduated in Chemistry from the University of Science in Valladolid (Spain). She obtained her PhD in Science from the Radboud University of Nijmegen (The Netherlands) and undertook post doctoral studies in the field of drug delivery at the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore. She has seven articles published in international journals and experience working as Senior Scientist at the medical device and pharma industries in The Netherlands and Singapore.

For the last five years she has experienced the complexity of developing innovative products in regulated environments. This sparked her interest in the field of manufacturing science and regulatory compliance. Through BCS she hopes to bring her professional experience to support local and overseas companies to better understand Singapore biotech landscape. In her free time she helps the local community as a volunteer at red cross Singapore, animal lovers league (ALL), enjoys travelling, snorkeling and meeting friends.

Biotech Connection Singapore (BCS) is part of an international network of non-profit organizations, that aims to promote the transfer of ideas from theory to real world applications by providing a platform for fostering interaction between academia, industry and businesses.
