Pluripotency, the ability to generate any cell type of the body, is an evanescent attribute of embryonic stem cells and epiblast stem cells – two types of stem cells known. However, scientists from La Jolla, California have discovered a new type of stem cell. This stem cell could provide a model of early human development.
